ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Physiotherapists for a variety of roles within our Residential and Home Care departments. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in either an Aged Care or Hospital environment.

At present, we have two permanent part-time roles available in our Residential Care department and one permanent full-time role available in our Home Care department.  

Duties include

• Provides assessments for resident/client mobility, falls risk and related musculoskeletal and neurological conditions
• Formulates treatment objectives for the purpose of restoration or maintenance of function
• Frequently reviews treatment objectives to ensure their continued application
• Implements and supervises pain management clinics. Provides treatment programs to address problems of movement and/or, function on an individual or group basis
• Provide individualised therapy services, including equipment prescription and home modification enabling older people to maintain functional capacity, prevent deterioration, maximise quality of life and to re-engage with community activities (home care)
• Maintain current knowledge of contemporary Physiotherapy techniques and healthcare issues, and ensure all clinical practice is in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements, professional code of ethics, professional code of conduct and available evidence
• Promote a safe working environment in clients’ homes by identifying health and safety risks and working collaboratively with the client and service coordinator to manage the risk (home care)

ABOUT YOU

As a Physiotherapist you will participate in the planning and organising of therapeutic activities and work closely with residents and their families, managers and staff, as well as visiting health professionals.

You will have extensive experience working in Aged Care and be proactive in maintaining current knowledge of contemporary Physiotherapy techniques and healthcare issues.

Essential Criteria

• AHPRA registered Physiotherapist
• Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapist) degree
• Previous experience working within an Aged Care or Hospital environment
• Police Clearance dated within the past 6 months or ability to apply for one when required
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• The ability to work independently and as a team member
• A positive outlook and a genuine interest in the provision of aged care services
