About the Role
The Staff Specialist will function as a member of the anaesthetic team providing high quality health care in the area of general anaesthetics to the Metro South Hospital and Health Service. The position will be required to provide clinical supervision and support, as appropriate, to senior medical officers, registrars and junior medical officers working within the Redland Hospital.
- Provide high quality clinical care to patients requiring anaesthetic services.
- Liaise and consult with other specialist staff in the treatment of patients in other clinical units including the Emergency Department, Obstetrics and the High Dependency Unit.
- Participate in the coordination of services and planning of service delivery for the department.
- Participate and facilitate the educational activities in the Anaesthetic department including the teaching and training of Registrar/Principal House Officers, Interns and other medical staff as appropriate.
