About the business and the role
QV Medical is a smaller practice with a team that feels more like a family. We are looking to bring in an enthusiastic and experienced medical receptionist.
Ideally you would have some experience under your belt, but we are also willing to grow with the candidate if they are a great cultural fit.
Job tasks and responsibilities
You must have an understanding of Medicare. There is just no point applying for this position if you don't at least know the main item codes off the top of your head.
Day to day stuff is pretty standard, but we would chat about this in your interview. We are keen to bring someone in that has experience, so if you aren't sure what happens in a medical reception then this probably isn't for you. If you like hard work and are passionate about working in this type of environment then we want to hear from you!
We want a bubbly, personal and well organised individual.
Shift times are:
9am-2pm
2pm-8pm or 2pm-6pm
Skills and experience
Computer literacy is an absolute must!
Experience is a must! If you are confident enough to walk into a smaller medical clinic where you will have autonomy in the role then this will be suitable. You would be working with 1-2 GPs at a time. If everyone is busy you will need to be able to solve problems independently.
Familiarity with Best Practice would be ideal.
