An opportunity has become available for a full time permanent Laboratory Technician. In this role you will conduct a range of diagnostic testing that requires the applications of scientific technical knowledge and skills, within regional histology departments.

The role will involve travelling to regional histology laboratories to provide staff relief. Although situated in Ballarat a significant volume of relief is required in Geelong, thus will suit a person located in the Geelong area. Relief will also be required at our Bendigo Laboratory.

This position involves working in fast paced laboratory environments and will be suitable for an individual who prides themself in maintaining a high level of accuracy in their work. The successful applicant will ideally have previous histology experience and the ability to work shifts.

To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:

• Australian recognised Diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent
• Australian drivers licence and own registered vehicle
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and preferably experience working in histology
• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
• Ability to multitask as part of a team
