In an Australian-first, South Australian Government staff are establishing an independent, employee-led Mutual to deliver early intervention services for children with disability or developmental delay under the Federal NDIS. Known as the Child and Youth Services Mutual, you will be a part of the start-up which impacts children, young people and their families in South Australia. You'll be part of an innovative venture and play a crucial role in the growth of our existing therapy service which provides services to children with disability or developmental delay aged seven to school leaving age.

We are seeking passionate and skilled physiotherapists who might be in different stages of their career. You may be a recent graduate with a passion for paediatrics, strong communication skills and exemplary theoretical knowledge. Or you may have proven experience as a Physiotherapist providing assessment, planning and implementation of programs for children and adolescents, ideally with disability or developmental delay.

You can demonstrate your ability or willingness to achieve outcomes for clients by providing a professional support and consultancy service in collaboration with other professionals and community services. You are able to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with other staff and key stakeholders.

You will be provided with educational and development opportunities, and will be surrounded by a large team of skilled and experienced allied health professionals including psychologists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists.

Essential Qualifications: Appropriate degree or qualification relevant to the role and registered as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

Special Conditions: The successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Background Screening and National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to being employed and every three years. The Service is provided across the metropolitan and regional areas, in home and community settings, requiring a driver’s license and flexibility for some out of hours work.

Notes: Salary plus super and salary packaging is as per Government AHP1 or AHP2 level (as appropriate). Several positions are available across metro, north and south locations. Roles are until June 30 2020 with view for permanency or extension based on performance. Part-time employment can be accommodated.
