Position Title: Inpatient Pharmacy Services Manager

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Hours per week: 38 hours per week

Position Grade: Pharmacist Grade 3

Salary: 112,356.11 - 115,481.61

Position Summary:

A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated pharmacist with extensive hospital pharmacy experience and expertise and skill in delivering Inpatient or Outpatient Operational Pharmacy services. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care.



The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

Selection Criteria

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Current registration with AHPRA and availability for weekend work and on call work as per roster requirements.
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and extensive hospital Pharmacy experience with demonstrated high level of competence, expertise and skill in delivering Inpatient or Outpatient Operational Pharmacy services.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability, initiative and previous experience with implementing systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including communication, negotiation, team building, influencing and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, prioritise tasks and promote optimal workflow.
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff, including pharmacy technicians/assistants, pharmacy interns and pharmacists.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to ensure adherence to legislative requirements relating to Pharmaceuticals at a national, state and local level including Section 100, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and various drug access programs.
