The Location
Located around a few hours’ drive from Melbourne and Adelaide this is the largest city in the region and is surrounded by stunning mountains and national parks. The town features a large commercial & plaza shopping centers along with a number of cultural attractions and several performing arts venues. There are several attractive parks and gardens including the Botanic Gardens occupying a 16 hectare site along the northern side of the local river. The town also boast Country Victoria's best golf course.
This Rural City Council is a regional leader in arts and cultural activity that celebrates diversity, creativity and inclusion. There are 27 languages (including English) spoken in the Municipality which is home to a culture of many acclaimed artists and arts companies across the performing, visual arts, crafts, multi-media and literature mediums. Construction of a new major 500 seat performing arts centre and conferencing facility on the heritage-listed Town Hall site commenced in January 2014 and has recently opened.
The Facility
With a workforce of approximately 850 staff they are the largest employer in the region. The hospital has recently been redeveloped so has a modern theatre complex, including a day procedure unit, a five-bed intensive care unit, and high-quality emergency department and ward facilities. The hospital is accredited and is a respected training centre with associations to Melbourne Universities and Teaching Hospitals.
The Role
The hospital is seeking both Emergency Medicine and General Medicine Registrars to join their healthcare team.
