An exciting opportunity is currently available for Registrars or Principal House Officers to join in this Coastal Queensland hospital. This major medical centre has recently undergone a redevelopment and has over 170 beds. The department is accredited for 12 months training with the Australian College of Emergency Medicine. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

The Purpose of the Role:
This position description is general for all Registrars and Principal House Officers (PHO's) Specific duties will vary dependent upon the clinical speciality and some will be negotiated with the relevant consultant, the Department of Emergency Medicine and the individual. Each position is supervised by senior medical staff, although a reasonable degree of autonomy is expected. All Registrars and PHO's should provide leadership to junior residents working in the same clinical unit. The Hospital is a teaching hospital a large University, Student placements occur throughout the year and medical staff is expected to work with the Clinical School in the education program.

What you need to be considered:
Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration via the competent authority
Previous Emergency Medicine experience
