Staff Specialist - Psychiatry - PECC Purpose of Position Position Summary: Join an outstanding multidisciplinary team in a busy, integrated and rewarding mental health service. Applications are invited to join our dynamic service from suitably qualified medical practitioners eligible for registration in New South Wales for the above position within the Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre and Emergency Department. Applicants should have Fellowship of the Royal Australian New Zealand college of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and/or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award. The successful applicant will have AHRPA registration, and possess technical skills commensurate with functioning as an independent psychiatry specialist. Experience in psychiatry and a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and its application are essential. Experience in research and a preparedness to participate in established research, teaching, and supervision are required. The successful applicant will participate in the on-call roster and provide in-hour and out-of-hour services to the Mental Health Service at St Vincent’s, Sydney.. This position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian.
