We are currently arranging interviews for two Staff Specialist Anaesthetist positions at a base hospital in northern New South Wales. This hospital provides care for over 12,500 patients each year and has approximately 25,000 presentations annually through its ED. This medium sized hospital has several ICU beds and as an Anaesthetist you will be providing care to patients across several surgical sub-specialties including General surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, endoscopy and some dental services. It is also home to one of the rural clinical schools of the University of New South Wales giving you the opportunity to be involved in teaching.
Located on the banks of the majestic Clarence River and only 50km to the stunning coastline of northern NSW, this rural city has a lot to offer. With its beautiful tree-lined streets, this city has become known as the Jacaranda City and has an annual festival each year to honour these beautiful trees. There are several islands in the Clarence River that divides the city, including Susan Island, a nature reserve which is home to a large colony of flying foxes. From tropical rainforest to beautiful surf beaches, there will always be something new to explore in this city.
We are ideally looking for candidates who are FANZCAs but will also consider candidates who have been deemed substantially comparable for ANZCA.
