Position Summary
Peninsula Health is seeking an innovative, energetic and progressive Carer Consultant to work within the Service Coordination and Planning Unit across Peninsula Health’s Mental Health Service.

Peninsula Health Mental Health Service acknowledges and appreciates the lived experience of clients and carers and supports individual resourcefulness, strengths and abilities through the provision of excellent specialised mental health care.
The Carer Consultant is a member of the Peninsula Health Mental Health Service Leadership Group and works collaboratively with the Mental Health staff to provide a coordinated approach to carer and family needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development and delivery of educational programs to both staff, clients and carers.
• Provide leadership for Mental Health Service ensuring the service achieves excellence in integrated seamless care.
• Ensure identification of service gaps, areas for improvement and implementation of appropriate responses at both policy and service delivery levels.
• Assist in both the development and delivery of education programs, in-services and workshops, as the sharing of a “lived experience” is essential to building organisational capabilities and to move towards a positive learning culture.
