Patient Flow Manager

Full time and Part time positions available, Ongoing

 

Northern Health provides a diverse range of acute, sub-acute and community health services to the large and diverse population in the regions north of Melbourne. There are five campuses; Broadmeadows Health Service, Bundoora Extended Care Centre, The Northern Hospital at Epping, Panch Health Service at Preston, and Craigieburn Health Service.

 

The primary role of the Patient Flow Manager is to effectively manage the flow of patients both within the acute and sub-acute service. The role will ensure that a high level of service is delivered taking into consideration the need to deliver excellent patient/family centred care as well as the need to ensure timely access to the right bed. In addition the role will provide leadership and operational management that align with the Northern Health access strategy, and is focused on meeting the KPI’s set around NEAT and patient experience.

 

This role works across all shifts, except night duty, 7 days a week.  

 

To be successful in this role you must:

 

·        Be a Registered Nurse/midwife

·        Demonstrate experience with patient flow within an acute health care setting

·        Possess the ability to work in a complex health care environment which has competing demands

·        Have proven problem solving ability in a fast paced environment

·        Display ability to build professional relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of health care professionals  

·        Demonstration ability to work on a rotating roster
