Fixed term maternity leave position - 7 monthsInstrument Technician Grade 2 or 3 - experienced
8 hr shifts, 40 hours per fortnight as follows:
week one - 16 hrs
week two - 24 hrs
Rotating roster - earliest start 7am, latest finish 11pm

The Royal Women’s Hospital Sterile Processing Services Department are looking motivated Instrument Technicians to join our friendly, committed team in Sterile Processing Services on a fixed term or casual basis. This role will be provided with a comprehensive orientation and be well supported by a hardworking and friendly team environment
Your contribution:
Your duties will include the following:
- Efficient processing of all reusable medical devices within the policy and guidelines of the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) and the Australian Standards
- The implementation of continuous and quality improvements within the SPS
- To develop and maintain high standards in procedures and techniques of processing reusable medical devices
About you
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- At least 12 months experience in the industry
- Instrumentation knowledge & experience
- Experience working steam sterilisers & all aspects of decontamination equipment
- An understanding of infection control principles
- A clear understanding of AS/NZS4187:2014
