About the role
Calvary North Adelaide Hospital is seeing an enthusiatic, motivated Registered Nurse to fill a casual role in the Day Chemotherapy Unit. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a dynamic health team and act as patient advocate at all times. The successful applicant will report to the Clinical Nurses and Clinical Manager.
What you bring
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA certification with a minimun of 2 years' oncology/haematology experience, including administration of chemotherapy in a day infusion setting
- Expert clinical skills including proficiency in CVAD management and IV cannulation skills
- Sound knowledge of oncological emergencies and their management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations
- Ability to motivate others within a team environment
- Flexibility to work across a five day roster
- Understanding of risk management and WHS
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
- Desirable - Completion of eviQ competencies
- Desirable - Post Graduate Qualifications in Oncology/ Haematology Nursing or willingness to work towards
