About the Role
Our Education Support and Therapy Services team has a part-time opportunity for a skilled Psychologist looking to join an experienced team of allied health professionals and registered teachers primarily providing direct service delivery in SE Queensland to individuals with a diagnosis of ASD as well as to schools, families and other professionals who support the individual.
This role is offered on an initial basis of 3 days per week if preferred, or full-time hours if client workload is available and preferred instead. This position may be required to work across our Sunnybank Hills and Brighton offices.
As Autism Queensland move into the landscape of the NDIS, there will be a need for this role to provide flexibility when working within our trans-disciplinary service delivery model by providing group and individual interventions which are responsive to the needs of each client and their family.
Regular travel within South East Queensland may be involved.

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and full registration with AHPRA

Proven knowledge and understanding of positive behaviour support and evidence-based principles

Knowledge of psychometric and educational assessment practice and procedures

Case management skills
-
Knowledge and experience of a range of intervention strategies relevant to people with ASD

Ability to work effectively with families, educators and other professionals in a consultancy style role

Current open driver's licence
