Canberra Private Hospital (CPH) has experienced and motivated management who wish to build a strong, cohesive team to deliver quality patient outcomes.
CPH is a surgical and rehabilitation facility catering for specialities including orthopaedics, plastic & reconstructive, oral & maxillofacial, urology, IVF & gynaecology, ophthalmology, general surgery and some medical conditions.
Patient services are offered across day surgery, inpatient and rehabilitation.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our Administration Team as a Patient Admissions Officer.
The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work across other areas to cover leave, such as:
- Surgical, Rehabilitation and Medical Ward Clerk
- Medical Records and Reception
- Pre-Admissions
- Surgical Bookings

In order to be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
Essential Criteria
- Highly developed computer and keyboard skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service and telephone technique
- Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information and always respect the right to privacy.
Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience in a Hospital Administration role
- Medical Terminology Certification
- Certificate III in Business Administration
- Experience using Simday or other Patient Management Systems
This is a full time role, Monday to Friday available for an immediate start. You must be flexible to work between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
