Djerriwarrh Health Services is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our Adult Health team in a permanent part time role.
The Role:
The role of the Exercise Physiologist is to work with individuals and groups and to promote health through exercise therapy. The Exercise Physiologist will undertake assessments, exercise intervention, management and education within the Sub Acute Rehabilitation Program at Melton Health.
This position also forms part of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals that support clients to optimise their health and well-being through physical activity. The role involves assessing clients for suitable activities and providing instruction to a range of exercise programs.
Ideally applicants will have:
- Current registration with ESSA
- Experience working with adults and older adults in a group exercise setting
- Demonstrated ability to plan, present, facilitate and evaluate appropriate group-based activities
- Capacity to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of services to the community
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to align with the DjHS values in all areas of work
