The Position
St John of God WA Hospitals has a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Manager Coding Services to lead our teams at Murdoch, Midland and Bunbury Hospitals.
In this role, you will manage and coordinate Clinical Coding services across the three sites, ensure high quality and efficient service provisions within agreed KPI’s and provide training and education to caregivers that meets national and state industry standards.
You will be a positive leader, with significant management experience in a similar role within the hospital or health care setting and possess a tertiary qualification in Health Information Management.
This position will be offered on a permanent, full time basis, with the successful applicant required to visit Murdoch, Midland and Bunbury hospitals as required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management.
- Substantial recent experience in the areas of Health Information Management in a hospital setting.
- Considerable recent experience in management and leadership of a large team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical coding.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in project management and working as part of a project team.
- Demonstrated high-level communication, liaison, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability in the operation of relevant computer software packages and a willingness to learn databases utilized in generating data and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
