Adamstown Medical Centre is seeking a casual medical receptionist part time hours rostered mostly same days weekly plus sick and holiday cover.

Work in a vibrant and busy environment providing quality healthcare.

We are currently looking for friendly, professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our team. You will be working with 3 GP’s, a Registered Nurse and part time Allied Health.

​The person for this role must have commitment, strong dedication, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills ensuring patient service is to the highest standard. Medical reception experience is essential. Must be available to work school holidays, be flexible with days and must be able to work until 6pm. Hours are only Monday to Friday, no weekends or nights. No applicants will be considered without prior Medical Reception Experience.

Selection Criteria:

  • Best Practice software experience preferable (Medical director experience will also be considered provided willing to learn the Best Practice software)
  • Excellent communication and a strong customer service ethos
  • Willingness to work as a team.
  • Should be flexible to cover sick leave and annual leave taken by other staff on any day
  • Computer competency essential including Microsoft suite, with ability to learn new software
  • More than 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferable

Responsibilities:

Reception duties including but not limited to

  • Answering incoming calls
  • Greeting patients
  • Scanning, faxing and printing documents as per requirement
  • Accurately entering patient demographics,
  • Making and confirming and cancelling appointments
  • Billing, processing payments, issuing receipts and daily banking
  • Processing Medicare claims, DVA claims, EFTPOS and HICAPS payments
  • All other ad hoc secretarial duties
