What you'll be doing
Providing comprehensive and appropriate Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team for patients/clients of the Northern NSW Local Health District.
- Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent Post Graduate qualifications) and registration as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical Occupational Therapy services within the scope of practice of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to provide mental health-specific functional assessments and goal-oriented interventions, incorporating the mental health recovery principles and trauma informed care.
