Tinonee Gardens is a leading residential aged care facility offering compassionate care for older people in a welcoming and inclusive community. We cater for the unique needs of our community of 159 residents from culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds.
About the role:
We are looking for passionate and motivated team members committed to providing personalised quality care and support to our residents. As a Personal Care Assistant you will, under the direction of the Care Manager and Registered Nurses, partner with residents to ensure their individual needs are met, assist with activities of daily living while promoting their independence. Your role will also include assisting your team with cleaning, laundry and catering tasks as required.
Our current vacancies are suited to experienced Personal Care Assistants looking to join our team on both a permanent PT and casual basis. Our team works across morning, afternoon and night shifts. Being flexible to work at short notice and for call-in shifts is highly desirable.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum Cert III Individual Support (Aged Care)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Criminal Record Check (less than three years old)
- Previous experience caring for people living with dementia
- Aged Care experience
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- The ability to work in both a team environment and independently
- A thorough understanding of correct manual handling procedures in aged care
- Acceptance and appreciation of different cultural beliefs and values
- Bilingual (highly desirable)
