The opportunity
A fantastic opportunity is now available for an energetic and passionate Trainee Dental Assistant to join our team at Channel Dental Care. This position is a full-time opportunity with the potential for the hours to grow with the business. This role would be well suited to applicants with a passion for oral health and looking to for an immediate start in the Dental industry.

The practice and location
At Channel Dental Care we understand that people come into the dental practice with many different expectations and goals. We work closely with our patients to achieve their goals for oral hygiene and develop treatment plans that will help maintain long lasting oral health for a lifetime. We have modern equipment along with highly trained and experienced dentists. Based in Kingston,  we are only a ten minute drive from Hobart city centre and offer free onsite parking.

Some of your tasks may include:
• Clinical Chairside Assisting
• Stock control
• General Dental Assisting Duties
• Patient care and management 
• Helping patients and discussing treatment plans 
• Instrument sterilising and processing
• Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy clinical environment
• Some front office duties when required

Working closely with our dental professionals you will be responsible for assisting our dentists and team in all areas within our dental practice.
 
To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes: 
• Previous experience in a customer facing role 
• Willingness to obtain Certificate III in Dental Assisting 
• Desire to deliver exceptional service 
• Friendly and positive attitude 
• A Quick learner & works well under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills & a team player
• Strong work ethics , reliable & a focus on a career in dental
