Tinonee Gardens is a leading residential aged care facility offering compassionate care for older people in a welcoming and inclusive community. We cater for the unique needs of our community of 159 residents from culturally & linguistically diverse backgrounds.

About the role:

We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced ACFI Manager to join our team at Waratah. The ACFI Manger is primarily responsible for maximising revenue generated from the assessed care needs of residents through the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).  The ACFI Manager is also responsible for ensuring that ACFI documentation accurately supports the subsidy claim, initial care planning and ACFI education. This position will be offered on a full time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will have access to salary packaging benefits.

 

What are we looking for:

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
  • Tertiary qualifications in Aged Care and/or a related field
  • Completion of the ACFI Appraiser TAFE training
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the care planning process including assessment and care planning documentation in residential aged care
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise ACFI to optimise funding / income in line with validation of ACFI claims
  • Demonstrated understanding of Acts & Legislation relevant to Aged Care
  • Ability to work co-operatively as a member of the Management group (Director of Clinical Services, Care Manager, Registered Nurses) and willingness to backfill Care Manager role as required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to mentor staff in the ACFI processes
  • Well-developed problem solving and time management skills
  • Proven ability to act as an assertive leader with strong people management skills and the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated high level communication  and computer literacy skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
