Continuing our growth is the exciting new acquisition of Garrison Support Services for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). We have a casual vacancy for a Dental Assistant to work at ADF bases across NSW and ACT. This is an excellent opportunity for a person who would like to engage in casual work covering leave periods for ongoing employees.
Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant is responsible for the provision of chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to Entitled Personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures.
To be successful you will:
Essential
-
Be an Australian Citizen with the ability to hold a Baseline security clearance;

Certificate III in Dental assisting;
- Minimum of 2 years recent full time chair-side dental assisting experience;
- Current first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification;
- Current licence for use of dental intra-oral radiography or OPG Dental X-Ray experience; and

Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high standard of care to patients and work with limited supervision within a dental surgery.
Additionally, the Dental Assistant will be required to:

Assist with dental administration; and

Adhere to privacy legislation and Defence Policies and Procedures in relation to the protection of personal information.
