Epping Private Hospital is a brand new 30 bed hospital in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled environmental services manager to join our dynamic team.
Hours may include weekends, public holidays and shift work between core hours of 6:30am to 5pm
The successful applicant will be required to consent to and undergo a police record check and provide evidence of current immunisation status.
Skills and experience
Ensure that hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hospital is maintained to the highest standards for patients, staff and visitors at all times.
• Develop, implement and review procedures and guidelines for environmental services that reflect industry standards.
• Lead the delivery of services within agreed budgets.
• Participate in budget compilation and reporting.
• Maintain appropriate supply levels and adequate storage ie order stock and equipment for environmental services
• Ensure effective and efficient management of human resources including rostering, allocation of leave and staff recruitment.
• Develop, maintain and monitor a plan for the efficient and effective allocation and deployment of hospital services staff to achieve strategic intents.
• Identify competencies of allocated staff and training requirements.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement plans
• General duties, including cleaning and cleaning audits
• Team player with a 'can do' attitude
• Demonstrates a customer focused mindset
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor a team
• Min 5 years experience in hospital services
• Min 3 years of managing staff
• Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
