The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is one of the world’s leading paediatric hospitals. The hospital employs 4,500 staff working in an internationally recognised campus commissioned in 2011.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director Strategy, Quality and Improvement is accountable for leading and directing the strategy planning, quality and improvement and innovation agenda for the RCH.
It leads seven significant areas including Risk and Information Management, Quality, Education, two specialist centres (Child and Community Health and Adolescent Health) and the clinical leads for Quality and Safety for Medicine and Nursing.
To succeed in this challenging position, you will have demonstrable success in senior level roles in a major public or private hospital that incorporate some or all of the core areas of Strategy, Quality, Risk and Process Improvement.
Your background would ideally include clinical training (medical, nursing or allied health). However those individuals without these aspects but with highly relevant experience, are encouraged to apply.
Equally important will be your strategic and collaborative approach to leadership coupled with the ability to ‘get things done’. Accompanying these attributes will be outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the capacity to lead in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
