With 120 beds, Radiation oncology, chemotherapy , theatres ,  co-located research and clinical trials and a comprehensive supportive care service we offer comprehensive treatment across all tumour streams underpinned by evidenced based practice creating improved patient experience and clinical outcomes .

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Medical Oncology team, to support our ambulatory care service in clinics, day therapy and rapid assessment unit.

Some key elements to the role at Lifehouse include:

  • Use advanced competencies in clinical decisions based on assessment, clinical data and diagnostic investigations and prescribe medications, including anti neoplastic agents
  • Operate a daily nurse led clinic within the day therapy unit
  • Coordinate treatment plans and clinical procedures in relation to disease and/or antineoplastic agents
  • Ensure multidisciplinary patient centred care with high level coordination, communication and facilitating multi department management
  • Provided expertise in the field of medical oncology and active cancer treatment, acting as a valued recourse both in the unit and throughout the hospital supporting junior staff and assisting clinical decision making
  • Symptom management assessment and advice for patients or carers with disease symptoms or undergoing active treatment

With a clinical trials department and Sydney University campus on site, your role as NP has great opportunity to not only be involved in innovative and progressive cancer treatments and to develop and collaborate in research for both medical and nursing fields.
