Position Summary
The NDIS Clinical Lead - Children’s Services is an exciting new position for an experience allied health clinician to facilitate and lead the development of the newly established NDIS Children’s Service stream for children from birth-12 years within the Community Health Children’s Services team.

The NDIS Clinical Lead - Children’s Services will support staff to deliver high quality, child-centred and family focused child development and disability services for eligible families in the City of Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula Shire. This position supports staff to deliver clinical services to children, families and groups, and engage in capacity building and local partnerships. The incumbent ensures preventative, responsive, inclusive and innovative client engagement and interventions are fundamental to staff practices. As a Senior Clinician the NDIS Clinical Lead- Children’s Services also provides clinical supervision to Grade 1 & 2 Clinicians of the same discipline where relevant in the team structure. In addition, the NDIS Clinical Lead- Children’s Services will contribute skills and support to the wider team drawing on broader disability practice knowledge and expertise.


Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop business practices to support and improve the NDIS Children’s service stream.
• In conjunction with other members of the Children’s Services leadership team, develop a collaborative suite of services for children in the catchment.
• Provide operational and clinical leadership to staff across the NDIS service stream staff across multiple campuses and outreach locations to ensure a cohesive and integrated team.
• Support a child safe organisation by valuing, respecting, and listening to children and young people and by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements.
