This is a role for Allied Mental Health Professionals in a friendly inclusive and supportive environment. This role will predominantly involve phone based support and assessment with EAP clients. You will be part of a team taking calls from new clients to deliver a structured clinical assessment and develop a clear treatment plan. The EAP model is a brief, solution focused, general counselling model.

Description
Responsibilities of the role include but will not be limited to:
- Provide short-term, solution focused telephone counselling within the parameters of EAP clinical delivery model
- Provide booked and as-needed clinical consultation for time-critical and 'at risk' presentations and third party clinical consultations.
- Attend and satisfactorily complete clinical induction and participate in scheduled team clinical meetings, professional development forums and regular clinical supervision.
- Ensure that professional services are delivered according to relevant Federal and state legislation regarding provision of clinical services in areas such as privacy health records and mandatory reporting
- Participate in a tea roster to maintain accreditation to provide EAP clinical telephone services
Profile
Candidate Profile
To be further considered you MUST possess the following:
- Completion of an accredited Allied Mental Health Qualification at a tertiary institution to a degree level combined with professional registration (AHPRA) or full membership of a relevant professional body (AASW or PACFA)
- A minimum of five year's relevant experience in a professional counselling environment.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a National Police Check completed within the last 3 months
- Existing Working with Childrens Check
- Available to commence in August/September exact date TBC
Competencies
- Experience providing generalist professional counselling with proficiency in undertaking initial clinical and risk assessment.
- Experience undertaking risk management and case formulation
- A clinical skill set that prioritises working with brief therapy models
- Professional warmth in conjunction with strong clinical engagement skills
- Computer literacy, including management of clinical databases and booking systems
- Experience operating effectively and collegially in a clinical team environment
Candidates with broad experience in counselling, clinical assessment and risk management in conjunction with experience providing EAP services will be highly regarded.
Job Offer
This is a great opportunity for an EAP counsellor. This role offers flexible working arrangements: 3-5 days per week between 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday.
