Mackay Rehabilitation Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist to become part of the dynamic multi-disciplinary team. This position presents are rare opportunity for a full-time contracted position that is suitable for newly graduated or experienced Exercise Physiologist.
You will have the opportunity to work across the hospital with a variety of case mix. Mackay Rehabilitation Hospital has an 34 bed Rehabilitation Unit, with both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, along with a large hydrotherapy pool and gymnasium. You will be well supported by experienced management and a friendly and vibrant team.
Continuing education is an integral part of the department's program. As part of our Allied Health team you will take part in regular in-services and also be eligible for paid study days and Study leave for courses which are considered relevant and applicable to enhancing services in the facility.
Essential criteria:
- Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage varied caseload.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Hydrotherapy experience or willing to learn hydrotherapy.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in rehabilitation
- Experience working in a group therapy setting
