An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Grade 3 Dietitian to manage Dietetics Services at John Fawkner Private Hospital, Dorset Rehabilitation Centre and North Eastern Rehabilitation Centre. We offer supportive Allied Health teams at all three facilities.

Grade 3 Dietitian Responsibilities -

Managing dietetic service provision across one acute and two subacute health care facilities
Managing a busy and often complex clinical caseload at John Fawkner Private Hospital
Supervising the Speech Pathology service at John Fawkner Private Hospital including ICU, cardiology, emergency, general medicine, general and gastrointestinal surgery, oncology and orthopaedics.
Active participation within a multidisciplinary team
Working collaboratively with Food Services
Policy development and implementation
Ongoing quality improvement
Staff and patient education
Participation in inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic, cardiac, neurological, trauma rehabilitation and pain management programs

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (or equivalent)
Current Accredited Practicing Dietitian Status, or eligibility to apply for
Eligible for membership with Dietitians Association of Australia
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Have a current driver's licence, Police Check and Working with Children Check.

You must also have a demonstrated commitment to person-centred care, evidence based practice and professional development. You must have well developed communication and interpersonal skills, work collaboratively with others, have demonstrated clinical leadership skills, a proven ability to manage competing demands and be successful at negotiating patient outcomes. You are also expected to identify, implement and evaluate quality improvement projects.
