Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Coronary Care Unit. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.
As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:
- Working in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and team to ensure care is patient centred and delivered with empathy and respect
- Providing safe, high quality care that meets best practice standards
- Participation in the hospitals quality program
- Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating the Cardiac nursing care of the patient
- Working in collaboration with Cardiologists and other members of the Cath lab team to ensure patient safety and the accessibility of identified equipment / consumables predicted to be required to successfully complete the procedure
Darwin Private Hospital is a 108 bed acute facility co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital. It provides a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery and ENT.
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate Certificate in Coronary Care or ICU (or working towards)
- Working with Children check
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
