Registered Nurse for their Coronary Care Unit

Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high quality patient care? Darwin Private Hospital is looking to employ a Registered Nurse for their Coronary Care Unit. Suitable applicants with the right clinical background are encouraged to apply.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

Working in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and team to ensure care is patient centred and delivered with empathy and respect
Providing safe, high quality care that meets best practice standards
Participation in the hospitals quality program
Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating the Cardiac nursing care of the patient
Working in collaboration with Cardiologists and other members of the Cath lab team to ensure patient safety and the accessibility of identified equipment / consumables predicted to be required to successfully complete the procedure

Darwin Private Hospital is a 108 bed acute facility co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital. It provides a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery and ENT.

Essential Criteria:

Current Registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate Certificate in Coronary Care or ICU (or working towards)
Working with Children check
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Works well independently and within a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills
