As part of our commitment to grow and develop our employees, we are recruiting in the Underwriting department of our Life & Investments business. This role represents a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring insurance professional to learn and acquire the skills necessary to develop into either an Underwriter or a Claims Assessor.
 
We are looking for a smart, switched-on and engaged individual who is looking for an opportunity to deliver a superior level of customer service through the provision of tele-interviewing and other key related activities, including supporting the underwriting team with pre-application assessments. In this role you’ll be pivotal to the ongoing development of adviser and customer relationships.
 
Key to this role will be your highly collaborative approach. On a daily basis you’ll be working hand in hand with a range of stakeholders including Sales & Distribution, Underwriting and Operations to ensure all activities are executed within the agreed service level and compliance requirements.
 
You’ll have a proven track record of exemplary customer service and being flexible to meet the needs of our customers. You’ll have demonstrable problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines as well as multi-task effectively. Your strong interpersonal skills will stand you in good stead as you speak to and liaise with internal and external stakeholders regularly.
 
Candidates with a background in nursing or another health related field would be highly regarded for this role.
 
This role can be performed in a number of locations in addition to our North Sydney offices, so applicants from outside the Sydney area are also welcome.
