We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Delivery & Administration Officer who is seeking a position with a Federal Government Department. This is an APS5 level role and will be a temporary assignment until July 2019.

The Training Delivery & Administration Officer will support the Agency by supporting and developing the capability and skills of staff within the regions. The successful candidate will support new and existing staff with their ongoing learning needs in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Working closely with the People & Culture Division, your training delivery experience in a variety of settings, coupled with the ability to adapt quickly to new and updated content will be essential. This role is pivotal in building capability of front line, service delivery and regional support staff.

The Training Delivery & Administration Officer will be responsible for a range of learning and development functions including:

  • Support new and existing staff in the delivery of learning programs
  • Arrange the delivery of external and internal training courses delivered by subject matter experts.
  • Manage resources effectively
  • Work under the guidance of the People & Culture branch, specifically the Learning & Development team, and be able to confidently communicate the Agency approach in relation to the delivery and scheduling of approved learning programs
  • Co-ordinate and support on-the-job and self-paced learning
  • Contribute to the evaluation of learning programs
  • Participate in national Learning & Development community of practice meetings and activities.

The successful applicant will be accustomed to working in an agile and fast paced environment where business priorities quickly evolve. In addition, key skills and experience will include.

  • Previous experience in Learning and Development
  • Competency with IT systems and the MS office suite
  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Tertiary qualifications in Education (Desirable)
