Asset and Reliability Engineer - Defence - Sydney
My client are a well known Maritime organisation with significant operations within the Australian and international Defence and commercial marine industries.
They are seeking to bring on an Asset / Reliability Engineer to help deliver long term, asset and risk focused solutions to their Australian client. Under the direct supervision of the ILS Manager, the Asset Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and Asset Management (AM) process in order to optimise the total cost of ownership.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide RAM engineering expertise and asset management services, inclusive of:
- Perform LSA such as RAM Analysis, RCM, FMECA, LORA and Spare Optimisation,
- Perform Life Cycle Costing Analysis to optimise the support system and reduce the total cost of ownership.
- Implement ISO55001 as guiding principles to Strategic Asset Management (AM).
- Develop and report on asset performance analysis.
- Establish and maintain LSA/AM documentations.
- Manage obsolescence
- Implement Engineering Change Process.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Academic & Trades Qualifications
- Reliability Engineering Degree or equivalent Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Statistics or Operational Analysis Diploma or Degree.
- Minimum 5 year experience in reliability engineering and/or integrated logistics support domain.
- Knowledge in asset management and familiar with ISO 55000.
- Experience in project based environment preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
