Cubic Defence Australia provides ACMI training systems here in Australia at our RAAF Amberley and RAAF Williamtown sites. 

About the Opportunity:

As a Technician within the ACMI program of Cubic Defence Australia, you will work with a small team of specialist technicians to maintain and service Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation pods and their associated ground computer and debrief systems utilised by the RAAF on their F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet.  As an ACMI Technician you will support the team to maintain the integrity of existing systems as well as assist with system upgrades.   

The ideal candidate will have both formal Avionics maintenance qualifications as well as formal IT related qualifications, however a combination of qualifications and experience across both these areas will be well regarded.

 

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

  • Formal qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – Avionics (Cert IV, Diploma etc)
  • CAMM2 training
  • Intermediate experience in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (in particular, Word, Excel and Access)
  • Current drivers licence
  • Aptitude to perform problem solving and analytical tasks. 
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks, and work to deadlines
  • aptitude to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • NV1 (SECRET) security clearance (mandatory)

 

**This position is only available to Australian citizens. Permanent Residents and working visa holders will not be considered, as the incumbent must hold a current Australian Defence Security Clearance at minimum NV1 level.**

Serving members of the ADF must have declared their intention to discharge prior to Cubic receiving their formal application.
