This position is located in the Fitzgerald River National Park at the East Mt Barren Work Centre (9km east of Hopetoun). GROH accommodation in Hopetoun is available.
Fitzgerald River National Park is one of the largest and most botanically significant national parks in Australia. Within the park, nearly 20 per cent of Western Australia’s flora species are found, many of which occur only within its boundaries.
Under the limited direction of the District Manager, the Senior Operations Officer is responsible for the management and administration of the East Mt Barren work centre, the Fitzgerald River National Park (FRNP) and departmental operations within other departmental land and unallocated Crown land in the shires of Jerramungup and Ravensthorpe.
In accordance with relevant legislation and departmental policy, the successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current Working With Children Check and a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
