Seeking experienced Environmental Health Officers to join this busy Local Council in the new financial year.
Your new company
Hays Recruitment are seeking experienced Environmental Health Officers to work within a large Local Council east of Melbourne. This council welcome all new members, encourage career progression and enjoy staff benefits. Together the team aim to achieve high quality service to benefit the community and the people who are part of it. The roles will begin on a temporary basis with the opportunity leading to perm based on performance and availability.
Your new role
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to;
- Inspections of food premises and public buildings
- Carrying out routine and adhoc inspections
- Following up customer feedback and investigating food poisoning outbreaks
- Conduct routine inspections for skin penetration premises in line with hygiene regulations
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health Science or equivalent
- Experience working as an Environmental Health Officer
- Customer service focused with a professional manner
- High attention to detail
- Valid police clearance and a clean driving license
- Local government experience preferable
