Your role

It takes a raft of complex technology to keep state-of-the-art aircraft such as the Seahawk helicopter operating at peak capability. In this rewarding role you'll be trained to maintain and repair these advanced systems and components.

They include:

  • electrical systems, such as DC/AC power operation and distribution
  • anti submarine systems
  • flight instruments, systems integration and navigation systems
  • ground support equipment
  • radar, sonar and Doppler systems
  • automatic flight control systems
  • communication systems
  • environmental systems
  • air weapon systems
  • aircraft weapons/armament
  • aviation safety equipment, and
  • aviation survival equipment.

Salary

  • Fully-paid technical training
  • Once trained, starting package approx. $66,100 p.a. plus superannuation

Location

  • Posting to HMAS Albatross (Nowra, NSW)
  • Some of your time will be spent at sea maintaining shipborne aircraft

 

Entry Requirements

  • At least 17 years of age
  • Australian Citizen
  • Year 10 completion with passes in English, Mathematics and Science

 

If you do not have the required passes you may be eligible to sit an Alternative Education Equivalency assessment. Medical and fitness guidelines also apply.
