The Business & Data Analyst supports instrumentation of Enterprise Data Management across all business units and develops data standards and strategy for the solution.
They exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider departmental implications, with work being performed under the general guidance of senior managers. In performing a leadership role, they drive innovation, changes in workplace practices and organise work in the context of competing priorities and strategic direction.
The responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
• lead and support operations of the team including managing resources and workflow;
• lead and manage staff;
• develop staff capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning;
• undertake and assist with business management and workforce planning;
• collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders;
• develop standard methodologies, processes and procedures for the data components of ICT and business projects;
• initiate adjustments to data policies and procedures;
• contribute to and influence ICT strategy;
• assist with implementation of data quality programmes;
• prepare and review a range of technical and corporate documentation;
• assist with the management of finances, contracts, procurement, and expenditure;
• report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and quality assurance;
• encourage innovation, continuous improvement and manage and support change;
• exercise delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

You must have the ability to obtain a clearance, therefore to assist in the timely completion of the required process you will need to be an Australian citizen, have maintained Australian residency for a minimum of 10 consecutive years, or have a current clearance which is able to be re-activated.
