We are seeking a team oriented, values driven Senior Inclusive Communities Officer to lead the development and implementation of plans, processes and projects that improve fairness and social inclusion in the community.

The successful candidate will join us on the journey to become the most liveable community by working with residents, community groups and agencies to increase access and social inclusion in Greater Bendigo, particularly in relation to the barriers that face people with disability.

You will be required to lead strategic planning and evaluation processes to support community inclusion as well as facilitating and supporting key stakeholder groups, agency partnerships and community networks to achieve social inclusion plans and projects. You will also be required to lead the review and update of the Community Access and Inclusion Plan, coordinate funded programs, prepare grant applications, develop budget business cases and write project reports; that work toward delivering progressive whole of community social inclusion outcomes.

The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the disability sector environment and government policy, program management, community development, human rights and the role of local government, along with an ability to engage and partner with many diverse stakeholders in the community. You will also have strong leadership skills with an ability to coach and develop staff within the team.

A satisfactory police record check and Working with Children’s Check is required for this role.
