The Department of Premier and Cabinet is looking to appoint an experienced, high performing and highly motivated person to the role of Manager, Aboriginal Economic Development.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a fundamental shift in the relationship between Aboriginal Victorians and government, and to empower the Victorian Aboriginal community to achieve long‑term generational change.

Leading a team, you will be responsible for providing expert policy analysis and strategic advice on Aboriginal economic development initiatives and opportunities, leading on the delivery of projects for the Victorian Aboriginal Economic Board including contract and project management and providing secretariat support to the Victorian Aboriginal Economic Board.

To be successful in this role you will have experience in policy development and analysis, leadership skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of motivation and attention to detail, and an ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.

You will be self-motivated, accountable and care for your colleagues. Experience working in Aboriginal affairs or economic policy is highly desirable.
