The City of Ryde has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer experienced in the design of civil infrastructure and related projects to join our Project Development team based at North Ryde.
This is a senior role in an established team and apart from your key responsibility in providing infrastructure designs and cost estimates across a wide range of civil infrastructure projects you will play a key role in mentoring less experienced civil engineers.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Extensive experience in the design of Infrastructure projects including preparation of specifications, quotes and costings for procurement
- Significant experience in detailed design of geometric alignment (road, footpath and cycleway design), traffic facilities and stormwater drainage design
- Understanding of structural engineering and construction practises and providing suitable feedback
- Highly proficient in computer systems with proven skills in using AutoCad, Civil 3D, and software packages such as Drains and other relevant hydraulic programs.
- Well-developed written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with experience facilitating meetings/discussions with internal and external stakeholders and negotiating to achieve desired outcomes.
A salary range from $106,109 to $119,951 p.a. inclusive of 3.5 % civil liability allowance and superannuation is negotiable depending on your qualifications and experience.
