About the role
The purpose of the role is to provide comprehensive work related and non-work related injury and illness management for Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) staff.
As the Senior Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing tailored strategies to improve safe and sustainable return to work outcomes and reduce workplace injury, claims costs and durations.
In this role, you will also provide advice and support to workers, senior management and team leaders, as well as monitor trends and influence external stakeholders to minimise the impact of injury/illness and assist the prompt, sage and sustainable return to work.
Requirements of the role
- While not mandatory, a qualification in Personal Injury Management would be well regarded.
- Significant experience with fast paced high volume worker's compensation with a focus on liability, appropriate application of proactive claim management, legislation, and reducing claims costs and durations.
- Applicants experienced with personal injury and safe and sustainable return to work outcomes and the ability to develop and implement injury management initiatives is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the Public Sector is highly desirable.
- This position may be required to work throughout the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
