Randstad is recruiting a Project Manager to be responsible for the coordination and management of program related activities necessary for the successful planning, management and delivery of an education related project by NSW government.
About the Project:
You will be working within the public sector leading the provision of world-class education in an important, pioneering project affecting the future of NSW students and teachers alike.
About the role:
The project is a part of a $300million+ long-term investment into the skills, knowledge and capabilities of students in NSW, which will be looking into what works best in classrooms; regarding teaching approach, how students access data, and tailored teaching.
Dates: as soon as possible until end of June 2019 (possibility to extend/turn permanent)
Salary: $800-900/day plus super
Location: Parramatta
About the ideal candidate:
This role would suit someone who is good at both thinking strategically about difficult business problems as well as responsible for the coordination and management of program related activities.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role, but in short you will have:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Project OR Program Management or equivalent role
- Proven ability to apply a structured methodology to create a detailed project plan that identifies scope, quality, schedule, finances, resources, risks, issues and dependencies to a high standard
- Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor project plans, including detailed resource scheduling, milestones and task dependencies
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, school staff, subject matter experts and technical teams across the sector
- Drive ICT projects within the ICT Delivery Plan to ensure ICT Procurement Strategies are completed as required (for any project with ICT procurement above $150k in total)
