About the role:
John Hunter Hospital operating theatres are comprised of 15 theatres and an interventional angiography suite. Our specialties include General Surgery, Orthopaedics (Elective and Trauma), Neurosurgery, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Transplant, Oral and Faciomaxillary, Trauma, Paediatrics, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Urology, Plastics and Ophthalmology. The service provides Perioperative leadership within the District as the Tertiary referral centre and performs over 22,000 procedures per year. Approximately 55% of those procedures are unplanned, i.e. trauma and acute surgical cases. The department’s vision is to provide world class perioperative care to every patient, every time.
What you'll be doing
Provision of perioperative and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgery and receiving a form of anaesthesia within a Level 3 Tertiary Trauma Referral Centre.
Job share arrangements will be considered.
An eligibility list will be created for future similar vacancies, both permanent and temporary.
