About the branch
The Regional Victoria Division is responsible for the service delivery of initiatives, programs and services. On-ground works and services will conserve environments, protect culture and heritage, manage visitor facilities and improve opportunities and support fire and emergency management. The Regional resources will support environmental, social and economic outcomes for rural, regional and urban communities. Service delivery is managed and delivered within the demands of the Divisional Action Plan and the requirements of the Division's State-wide fire and emergency role and in partnership with community and government agencies.
About the role
The Field Services Officer will deliver in commercial operations and park services as directed by the Manager to enable efficient and effective delivery at a district level in accordance with the Regional Action Plan. The position will be accountable for the delivery of on the ground works at Point Hicks Lightstation including, but not limited to, performing hosting role to visitors, customer service, site presence, lighthouse tours, accommodation cleaning, maintenance of assets, infrastructure, and facilities; contractor supervision, provision of response for emergency situations and field delivery support of environmental projects. The Field Services Officer will be adaptable and flexible to on the ground service requirements to ensure superior park management services are achieved at all times.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Our Field Services Officers deliver specified in-park services including tracks and trails, terrestrial and marine asset renewal, environmental works and general cleaning and maintenance of visitor facilities. They ensure all equipment is maintained and records associated with plant and equipment are kept up to date and assist on a range of projects and recovery works. Field Service Officers work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders, they seek to understand stakeholder and customer needs to ensure fit for purpose solutions can be implemented.
To be successful for this role you will need:
- Certificate or Diploma in Natural Resource Management and/or equivalent experience in a similar field.
- Plant, chainsaw and machinery operation experience.
- Trade related skills.
- Demonstrated experience in customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
