APS 6 Senior HR Advisor – Permanent   

Our client is seeking to transfer an existing permanent APS 6 Senior HR Advisor employee into their centrally located federal government department.

The APS6 Senior Human Resource Advisor is accountable for delivering operational and administrative results in accordance with the requirements of their work area and team plans. They will have an extensive understanding of the requirements of the position, as well as the legislative, regulatory and compliance frameworks that underpin its activities. They may provide detailed technical, operational, policy and procedural advice in relation to human resource (HR) issues which will include the development of strategies to resolve issues.

The Senior HR Advisor will provide services to assist managers and employees to achieve the goals of the organisation by providing information and advice in one or more of the following areas:

 

  • recruitment and selection
  • induction and probation
  • learning and professional development
  • performance evaluation and management
  • organisational development
  • industrial and employee relations
  • undertake research and analysis  of all human resources data and information
  • remuneration/payroll and rewards management
  • management of workforce planning data and analytics
  • develop and maintain relevant People Branch policies in relation to working conditions, performance management, APS Code of Conduct, conflict resolution and workplace diversity
  • management of occupational health and safety
  • management of compensable, non-compensable and early intervention cases

 

It is essential that you are already a permanent employee of a federal government department.

This is a security assessed position. Applicants must be an Australian citizen, with successful candidates either holding or having the ability to obtain a Baseline Australian Government security clearance.
