Working in partnership with the Department of Primary Industries & Resources, Red Appointments NT has an urgent requirement for a Work Health & Safety Officer to start immediately for a minimum of 6 months with a view to extend.

Citrus canker is the focus of a nationally supported control and eradication program managed through the Northern Territory Department of Primary Industry & Resources. We are seeking a Work Health & Safety Officer who will be responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and compliance of comprehensive WH&S Management systems for the Citrus Canker Emergency Response Plan.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• A sound understanding of Work Health and Safety matters as they apply to a workplace.
• Sound understanding in the development of operational plans and procedures.
• High level written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
• Knowledge of an experience in implementing Work Health and Safety principles in the workplace.
• Hold a current NT driver's licence or the ability to readily obtain.
• Qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related field and/or Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
