Naval Ship Management (NSM) is a Joint Venture between Babcock and UGL. NSM is a key Alliance Partner in the Warship Asset Management Agreement (WAMA) that provides asset management and sustainment for the ANZAC Class vessels for the Royal Australian Navy.

NSM currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Governance and Assurance Risk and Performance Coordinator to join NSM in a role based in Rockingham, Western Australia.

About the Role

This role reports to the Governance & Assurance Manager and has a key role in the coordination and administration of the Alliance Assurance Risk & Performance Frameworks.

The basic responsibilities of the Governance and Assurance Coordinator - Risk and Performance will include but not be limited to:

  • Assistance with the development, implementation, compliance and maintenance of the Alliance Risk Management System (RMS) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) in accordance with AS/NZS ISO31000;

  • Providing maintenance, assurance and oversight of the Strategic and Business Groups Risk Register and contributing to the identification, analysis and monitoring of business risks;

  • Assistance with the collation of the monthly Governance and Business Performance Reports and performing the Key Point Indicator (KPI) basis of calculation verification, activities to assist in the delivery of the performance outcomes;

  • Assisting with the development, management, review, audit, reporting and maintenance of the AS/NZS ISO 9001 Certified Business Management System (BMS);

  • Providing assistance with the tracking, maintenance, verification and reporting of non-conformance and corrective action;

  • Supporting and developing relationships with client and suppliers in order to facilitate and enhance working relationships

About You

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified (desirable) in an associated field and will have extensive experience and accreditation within auditing risk management and quality management systems.  You will have exceptional time management experience coupled with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work load and timeframes in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, an ability to be able to communicate at all levels of the business and across all internal and external stakeholders is considered essential in order to be successful in this position. The successful candidate will have high level MS Offices computer skills and have a proven ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes
